From department to department the focus is different. Each team of teachers know what they’re working towards and we know where the school is heading.

Each initiative or program has its own goals and we understand those. My teachers are hard working and focus on these often.

We have our vision from the district and my teachers are working in their own areas to achieve this vision.

Your school has wins! You have amazing teachers who do innovative things for students. How do these pockets of talent impact the school? *

Support them further. We double down on wins.

There are many good things happening. When I see them, I address them.

There’s a vision. Goals are set. Initiatives are being implemented. And yet, you know there is more you could be achieving. It feels right around the corner. What is getting in the way? *

The follow through. We have the pieces and the training, but something doesn’t connect at the classroom level.

A lack of understanding. We have the clear direction, but we aren’t sure how to make it happen.

Strategies to help everyone. We’re doing all the right things, but we still have groups of students who are under-performing.

I’m not sure. I do know my teachers are working very hard and I’m not sure what else I can ask of them.
